5th,6th, 7th & 8th March 2009

ACCOMMODATION –Motel, Port Macquarie

Motel unit – $90.00 dbl & $15.00 for extra person(s) – per night

The 2010 Presidents Weekend will be a ‘combined’ Presidents Weekend & is being held on the Mid North Coast of NSW in conjunction with our Queensland cousins.  Our choice of location & the possibly larger group of people has prompted the duration of the weekend to be extended into a 3 to 4 day event for those who can organise the time for themselves.  Also, we are designing the weekend programme for those of you members who can only get away for a normal two day weekend.

We have booked the whole of the motel which has a variety of rooms from Standard Rooms to Family Rooms with a number of the rooms being absolute waterfront on the Hastings River!  Also, near to the motel is a Caravan park with a number of Cabins.  We have been given a particularly favourable rate for our accommodation here so please advise me early of your intention to be part of this weekend.

As the planning is still in progress, we can’t give you the actual programme for the weekend but you can rest assured that there are plenty of varied activities to keep everyone occupied & interested.  Moreover, there will be plenty of ‘Hudnuts’ present to ‘kick tyres’ & exchange yarns with …..

Please advise Tony & Wendy Atkinson (02 9604 8308) OR Spencer & Wendy Yarrow (07 5464 1273) of your intentions to participate & the number of people in your party along with the type of accommodation (i.e. family room, standard room) you require ASAP.  Also, we need to know the date/time of your arrival & departure, how many & what nights accommodation you require.  As previously mentioned, we have all available accommodation booked & this will be allocated on a first in first served’ basis.

 A DEPOSIT OF $50.00 IS REQUIRED FOR THE MOTEL - Please send your cheque made out to

There is a draft programme being drawn up for the next Hub edition and it will be a great weekend. We just need to get numbers really quick if possible, then we will release the full programme.


2010 Annual General Meeting of The Hudson – AMC Car Club of Australia

The AGM will this year be held in conjunction with the Presidents Weekend in Port Macquarie. It will be on the Saturday early evening. That is the 6th March. Positions to be declared vacant are:

President, - Vice President, - Secretary, - Treasurer, - Committee Members (3) - Membership Officer, - Events Directors, - Editor (The Hub) - Vehicle Registrar, - Property Officer, - Technical Officers (3) and CMC Delegates.

 The Club does not run itself and some people put a lot of time and effort into keeping the Club running efficiently, financially and legally. We all enjoy the benefits of the Club, and for those on Club Rego it is vital for using your vehicle. It is not known if any of the current Officers of the Club are standing down or staying, but now is your chance to help or have a say in how the Club is operated. If you think you can devote some time to the Club in any capacity, please have someone nominate you for a position. It IS that simple!

Nominations can be taken on the day, or earlier, but must be in the form of a letter addressed to the Secretary if not on the day. You must be a financial member of the Club to nominate someone, and nominated people MUST be financial members to be able to hold a position.

If you are nominated for a position but cannot make it to the AGM, you can still accept a position, but you must have that acceptance in writing and in to the Secretary before the AGM.
